This album is a product of a break in to the old Soundwhore Studios located in Detroit, MI. Finding just about every piece of recording stole Doc Luv Jones noticed
a jump drive with some incomplete jazz tracks left on the ground. So like anyone in a mess like this he began to head to local recording stops and got to working on two albums... one the new youth jazz movement album your listening to and the second and album with oblique called the mack man monster to be released later. Getting back to this album it is an acid jazz hiphop hybrid of buttery smooth tracks that will put you in an all day chill mood.
My personal favorite is the title track "Mean St of Lansing". To those of you whoever been to Lansing, MI you''ll understand why it''s the most dangerous place on earth. Take a listen won''t you.... you might just find yourself drifting off to another place.
