hi, i''m matt and i''m the man behind papillon. i''ve been playing in loads of gloriously unsuccessful bands and after the last one i played in split up, i started to play on my own while waiting to find new musicians. i''m actually still waiting... i started getting gigs accidentally in liverpool after i drunkenly stumbled onstage in an open-mic session at my local pub. a local gig promoter saw me and offered me a support slot for another band and the rest is (not quite) history! i am now playing everywhere i can and as often as possible (book me a bus stop and i''ll play there!). some of the songs on the cd are not actually in my live set anymore as i keep writing new songs regularly but i still enjoy playing some of them. anyway, i hope you enjoy the music, that''s what it''s all about!
