Ben Bensen started playing guitar and writing songs when he was thirteen, etc,...
After playing and writing with a series of bands with varyingly silly names you are not likely to have heard of (but just in case: Phase, Babyfoot, Cushy Butterfield, Fuzzykane and The Vandalz) here comes "This Is Mainstream", his first solo CD.
Ben likes: melodies, harmonies, catchy tunes, good arrangements, and a nice chorus to top it all off. So naturally he has tried to fit all of this into "This Is Mainstream". Why not have a listen and see?
Best success before this: the wistful and catchy "Baby''s On My Frequency", co-written with long-time song writing partner Francis Armstrong, performed by Fuzzykane and available on a Matchbox Records compilation ''Gigantic''.
More recently Ben has been working on an altogether different project with the London based Vandalz, providing hooks and tunes for Mark Goodwin''s more abrasive Dance/Pop routines.
All the time, though, Ben Bensen''s true musical love has been the search for a great pop song. "This Is Mainstream" is Ben Bensen''s first album available on CD and downloads. Enough blurb, have a listen.
