Pure Breed is an underground hip-hop group that is having great success with the release of their first album, properly self-entitled. Pure Breed is made up of Zo Dog, Sawed Off, and Marty Mar. The group came into existence in early 2002. Since then they have gone non-stop at writing , producing, recording, and performing. The group plays hip-hop that is party oriented and remains positive. They have played with the likes of such notable acts as Mack 10, WC (Dub C), Knoc-turn''al, Brenton Wood, (Kid) Frost, Lighter Shade of Brown, and others.
Zo Dog is the source of the majority of the song writing while Sawed-off keeps busy in the studio during production. Marty Mar laces the beats and the scratches. They are managed by Sandman Productions, based out of Brawley, Ca and distribute under the Make It Hot Entertainment label. With the next album release date slated for middle 2005, Pure Breed continues to be "On a grind".
