Ray is a Philly native, and plays drums for his church where the Minister of music is Billy Thompson, songwriter of "Hurting Woman" which features Faith Evans and Shirley Caesar. Billy is also a featured artist on CDBABY (contempory Gospel). Ray has played drums with Bill Stewart (current bass player for the Dells), talented arranger/guitarist Al Rice, Andre'' Frison (trumpet player for Gabriel Hardeman), Joe Vance of The Legendary Winston Smith Band another CDBABY (rock) artist, Corey Hollis, Tyrel Mc Coy, Earnest Whyte, Stan Davis, Andrew Okwa,Clarence Whitfield, Ron Montague, Brandon Pressley, Dontae Hodges and many other Philly Gospel musicans.
Ray is a drummer/keyboardist. On this project Ray displays his music programming and production talent along with his soulful vibe on the KEYS. Ray says, " after years of playing keys with the gift God has given me, I tried piano lessons to broaden my technique from a fundamental approach, and the Lord would continue to bless me and increase with more and more ideas."
Jokingly Ray''s mother says, "he was playing drums in my stomach as a baby". Ray once had a Neo-Soul band in which his God brother, anointed drummer Bro. Christopher Omar Mason was brutally murdered. After playing keys for his band, this incident Spiritually led Ray back to his roots, which was playing drums and he began to play numerous concerts for his church. Ray had previously lost another Godbrother in music when Harold "whiz" Mention died early in Ray''s music career, however Ray has never abandoned his love for the KEYS and music programming which is evident on each track he produced on this his highly anticipated debut.
Ray''s father owned record stores throughout Philadelphia years ago before he passed, and Ray remembers all the Soul music he heard in his ears as a child. Ray says, " I loved Soul music but my Mom and Granny made sure I''d be in church for the Gospel!". "I first fell in love with the piano my Grandmother had when I was a child, and back then my Mom had an old organ in the basement, but I couldn''t resist the drums at an early age, until all the new technology came with drum machines, samplers and stuff, then I got back into the keys, sequencing and music production. Sampling was cool in my Hip-hop days, but now I love programming every instrument!"

Ray has also written and produced and arranged songs for many aspiring singers as well and is ready to involve them on a "Live CD" as well. Ray has just completed the "SOUL OF A MAN" project which he plans to release soon, and since the two projects were recorded only weeks apart the soulful sound continues.
"NARROW GATE", refers to Matthew 7: 13,14NKJ. "Enter by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
