Details:
Scott''s music has included a variety of styles from upbeat dance tracks to moving ballads, from orchestral arrangements to rock. His range of musical talent gives him the ability to write, arrange and perform many styles of music. With influences like Chicago, the Beach Boys, Bryan Adams, Richard Marx, and others, the core of Scott''s sound is marked with catchy melodies, great vocals, and strong harmonies. These are key to his unique style and are found throughout his release, "Live The Dream".

"Live The Dream" begins with the melodic a cappella piece Goodbye. This short 4-part harmony intro is a brief display of Scott''s wide vocal range and talent. The piece was actually conceived and partially recorded in early 1997. The final mix was completed as an introduction to Wishing That You Were Mine. The powerful chord progressions and final resolution produce a fabulous spine-tingling lead into track 2. Turn up the volume, we just got started!

Wishing That You Were Mine is an upbeat pop rock tune with an 80''s retro feel. It has been described as having a sound comparable to such groups as Erasure or Depeche Mode. The pulsing drum measures in the beginning set the beat, followed by the hard synth line that sets the tone. The bridge in the piece includes a dramatic transition into a sweet 4-part harmony that finishes out the piece as backup to the lead vocal. A very catchy melody...you''ll find yourself singing along to this one!

The title track is a moving, inspirational ballad. Live The Dream questions some of the basic reasons that our dreams go unfulfilled. From society''s expectations, to money and success, to our own fears of failure, this piece both criticizes and offers words of hope. This is the first song on the CD that introduces Scott''s instrumental talents on piano and French Horn. A first-rate piece with yet another memorable chorus.

Getting To The Point is Scott''s own arrangement of an ELO tune. This soft rock cover features backup harmonies as well as electric guitar. A pop rock interpretation of love gone wrong.

Track 5 is the piece known all over the world as the signature on doo-wop rock & roll -- the classic Stay by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs. Scott provides a great arrangement of this song, making full use of his nearly 3 octave vocal range. The piece transitions directly into the second dance pop tune on the album, Stay With Me.

Stay With Me is actually a cover of a ballad by Bobby Caldwell. However, this arrangement is no ballad. Scott brought it into the new millennium with a whole new beat. He did a masterful job converting this piece into a great dance club tune. A driving beat accompanied by rich harmonies and Scott''s soaring vocal on a great melody line adds up to a piece you can move to.

The Question delivers a dramatic contrast to the previous track. A very simple melody with a very passionate message. The acoustic guitar is skillfully provided by Phill Miller. With his golden voice featured out alone on an island, Scott shines on this ballad.

The dark, mellow cry of the horn begins the instrumental piece Awakening. This is a wonderful arrangement that builds with horn, piano, and strings to a peak, and then softly leads into track 9 with solo piano.

Part Of Your World is a passionate ballad that starts with moving strings, piano, and vocal, ascending to a powerful appeal in verse 3. A memorable chorus that will fill your ears, a melody line that will soar in your head, and lyrics that will touch your heart.

Be prepared for track 10, American Colonies! It will jump you out of your seat! The song begins with mighty and majestic pipe organ, recorded live at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison, WI and performed masterfully by Amy Hartsough. Chilling chords with a resolution that will raise the hair on your neck. Enter the drums and snarling electric guitar and the organ takes off on a classical fugue. This piece is J.S. Bach meets Bon Jovi! The lyrics begin as a satire of corporate America and finish by taking a hard look at mankind. Political rock with a classical twist -- a great song!

The piano-vocal ballad Caped Crusaders was written as a tribute to Scott''s two younger brothers, Chad and Steven. A tale of childhood innocence and growing up in our world.

If is Scott''s own spin on the classic Bread song written by David Gates. A stirring a cappella arrangement featuring Scott''s vocal stylings...a fitting end to a memorable CD.
