In late 1998, as I was about to record some poetry in honour of Ludwig Van Beethoven in the Hum Rehearsal Studio, Brixton, London, England,I happened to look up to see the presences of ''The King'' and his mother, Gladys Presley, hovering in the upper corner of the small room. The King had his head upon his mother''s shoulder. They briefly smiled down at me before disappearing. I had never seen his mother and only six months later realised who she was when I came across a photo of her.
The ability to sound similar to the King came to me following this amazing experience, which catalysed the creation of this totally original first tribute CD of songs & talks created in honour of ''The King''.
The whole thing was born in the moment. Most of these beautiful unique tracks were created following short meditations. They were mostly recorded in the raw, ie no practice, no words, no music.
