Annexed Asylum is a band who''s members draw upon influences from a wide range of metal''s subgenres, while not professing to purely belong to any one of them. These include, but are not necessarily limited to, Thrash, Death Metal, Black Metal and even what some call the New Wave of American Metal. The Birmingham band began to form in March of 2008 and was completed in June. "Combustion" the band''s debut E.P. was written and recorded within the first four months of the band''s existence. Drawing on their vast influences the band continues to write, perform, and record songs that highlight aspects about Metal that they all enjoy.
