Details:
Singer/song-writer, Danielle Hernandez, brings a new sound to pop- rock in her debut independently released album “Bringing in the Sun”. Her lyrics are sincere, honest, heartfelt and real, giving her the perfect combination of strength and sensitivity. Her sound has been compared to everything from Michelle Branch, Anna Nalick and Sarah Maclachlan. In those comparisons, however, she manages to hold her own unique sound and quality. Her voice is powerful and dynamic, and she has demonstrated her ability to hold her own.
Dancing and singing at the tender age of 2 1/2, Danielle’s love of the stage began early. Her life started with dance lessons, and at the age of 9, she was accepted into a progressive and competition dance company near her home town in New Jersey. Her vocal talent was formally recognized at the age of 12, when she landed her first professional job in the theater world. Her parents enrolled her vocal training immediately, along with a talent manager, and the double threat began to audition for anything from local theater, to Broadway and television.

As a teenager, she was accepted into a prestigious musical theater program in NYC, and in her early adult years she landed a role as a featured dancer and singer in the Off broadway National Tour of “Selena Forever”, landed small roles on Guiding Light, and was a back up dancer and singing for an independent hip hop artist.
She was also a part of the New Jersey Nets Dance team and the Rutgers University Dance team.

In the years to follow, she decided that she wanted to make music of her own. During her childhood years, she spent a lot of the time teaching herself chords on the piano and simple classical pieces by ear. This is also when her poetry writing began. Her poetry was published in local literary magazines and compilation poetry books when she was only 12 years old.

A psychology major and music minor, she spent her college years in voice lessons, music theory classes and even song writing. She bought a guitar and instantly began self- instruction. After graduating from Ramapo College of New Jersey, she continued develop her skills as a song-writer, singer and performer. She performed at coffee shops, local theaters, and local colleges regularly. Soon there after, she then employed guitar teacher Jason DeGeorge, who is her current co-writer and lead guitarist, and they soon collaborated to write songs that would give birth to her debut album.
