The liner notes say that a better title for this album probably would have been, "Richard Trible Plays With Himself". Clearly out of left field and off anyone''s radar screen, this is an effort that will take many by surprise. This was recorded in a nondescript trailer in a place known as Avra Valley, near Tucson Arizona between the barking dogs, planes flying over, coyote howls and gunfire. Richard is 51 years old and lived with his mother until just a few years ago. It is rumored that he''s still a virgin. Surely to be ignored by the commercial word, this wacked out off-beat collection will become a must-have for dozens, if not hundreds of discerning listeners world wide. It''s a little Weird Al-ish sometimes, some is like Frank Zappa but with less musical discipline. There''s some of the don''t-care-if-you-like-it attitude of Captain Beefheart. A few tracks avoid the niceties of cohesiveness, polish and production that most people have come to expect.

Richard''s wit and candor is sometimes provocative but rarely mean spirited. He recorded this album himself, perhaps to prove a point or because he''s a cheap bastard. Maybe the real reason is that no one else can stand to be with him. This could either be personality or hygiene related.

While Nine Inch Nails''s "Closer" has been parodied before, it probably hasn''t been given the brutal treatment heard here. He wasn''t content to just record a vibrant straight version of All Along The Watchtower. He had to add a little neo-Spike Jones. Harmonica Monica is mercifully short as it features perhaps the worst "rhythm" guitar ever recorded. "Lulu''s Back In Town" is curiously the only straight track on the album but still maintains a unique sound with its'' dual ukuleles. "Barnyard Animals" probably explains why he lives out of town. "Sixty Second Man" and "Muff Dive Gal" are good illustrations of why he''s still single.

There are only two conclusions to be drawned after just one listening. Either he''s a twisted genius or is in serious need of professional help. For those with warped taste in music, this album is destined to become a cult favorite.
