The Super Mack’s stormed onto the music scene with the release of “Super Mack’s in effect” w/ “Players Love Story”. (Streetshow Records). The single was a regional success, doing really well in Atlanta, Texas and the Western Regions of the US. Members included Necoleone, D.T. Funk, and Silky C., formerly The Shockin’ MC’s. It was the Super Mack’s that introduced Too Short to platinum producer Al Eaton. (One Little Indian Studios).
Riding on the success of the single, The Super Mack’s recorded the album “The Big Score”. Just when the project was finished, Necoleone was arrested and sentenced to a three year term in CA State Prison. During his bid, the record was never released. But unauthorized copies of the album were leaked to the streets. The material was groundbreaking, eventually reaching the local media. The Album earned the Super Mack’s a place in the Hip Hop Hall of Fame exhibit at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Upon his release from prison, Necoleone embarked upon a solo album titled “Where I Been”. During his time in prison, he wrote the songs based on his true life encounters and his frustration with the Super Mack’s “Big Score” album not being release while doing his time. With the buzz of the upcoming record the local rap community eagerly anticipated the release of this album. Lightning struck twice in an unfortunate way, when right at the completion of the project Necoleone was sentenced to another sixteen months back in the State Penitentiary!
Now with two LP’s recorded but never released, Necoleone vowed to change his course and do something different upon his release from jail.
He was able to secure a position with a national job training program where he was certified as a job trainer for at risk youth in the rough neighborhoods of Hunters Point and Fillmore. With music in his soul, being a successful youth counselor was just not enough.
Necoleone was determined to get his music to the public. He knew that he had too much talent to not get an album released. “Negrociations “was born.
Assembling some of the Bay Area’s hottest producers a reinvigorated Necoleone reached deep within himself to compose the critically acclaimed album that earned him “Best Hip Hop Producer” award at the 2009 Bay Area Black Music Awards. Also featured on the album are notables such as San Quinn, Mr. F.A.B., Boogie Joe the Grinder, Jimmy Reign, Askari X and others. The Album is on “Puttin it Down Records”. Owned and operated by Necoleone. Puttin it Down is currently distributing the “Negrociations “album on-line while shopping for a pressing and distribution deal.
