On her 3rd full length studio release Jen channels the quirkiness and soft soprano vocal styles of Tori Amos and Joni Mitchell, with operatic undertones similar to Joan Baez, and lyrics and melodies as fierce as Ani DiFranco and as catchy and memorable as Regina Spektor and Dar Williams, ... while still incorporating her own unique sound.
Besides experimenting with the sounds of an electric Fender, an acoustic bass guitar, and a ukulele, the album features drummer Mike Mongiello of the psych-punk trio Apogee. Mike has also performed with legendary post-punk group Bunnydrums and hardcore band Scareho. The album was recorded at Worldeater Records in South Philly by King Gary of the thrash-metal band Bitchslicer.
