She was to become a favorite duet partner for such kundiman greats like Ruben Tagalog, Tommy Angeles, Diomedes Maturan, Bobby Gonzales, Cenon Lagman and Ric Manrique Jr. Later she was dubbed as “Queen of the Jukebox”.
What followed soon after was her continued move into the limelight of musical entertainment. And perhaps she rightly deserves her stellar place, first as a solo artist and next as a member of the distinguished 8 that blend to become the prestigious Villar kundiman group, The Mabuhay Singers.
