After 13 years of law practice, and 2 years of life in Scotland, allen Levi traded his suits and briefcase for blue jeans and guitar case. Prolific, observant, witty, and beautifully lyrical, his songs and stories are a celebration of simple moments, common people, universal experiences, and a very good God.
“We Have Seen Him” was self-produced by allen at the studio on his farm in west central Georgia. The songs originate in Bible stories about people who encountered Jesus when He walked among us and offers allen’s reflections, often from the standpoint of the person encountering Christ, of how those meetings might have impacted the person involved. A number of small groups have used the songs as a study tool in reading the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). A meditative musical work for Christian and non-Christian alike, the songs offer an honest attempt to picture, and humanize, the sometimes romanticized and trivialized meetings between Christ and the folk of His day.
