Well, let me tell you:
Somewhere within the husky dark woods of Dalecarlia in the middle of Sweden, a trio was constituted.
Music was the common ground and to make it together seemed a natural thing to do. It wasn''t.
During a hectic week around christmas ''05 six songs were recorded but hell followed with it.
" -There was a foot amputation at some point.. a barstool showdown and a five star hotel bill no one
felt even remotely responsible for. It was awkward. There we were, three strangers supposedly making
music together.. but things kinda got out of hand.. obstacles if you will. " Johan reveals.
Crip Crutch explains:
" - I had my gameboy. I started to program that shit. It took a good few days before the others realised
I was actually making music with it. They thought I was just being lazy with Tetris."
André the giant answers quickly:
" -Dude, the melodies were russian sounding..."
André had a background in the local heavy metal scene but gained an interest for funk music and he got good,
real good. The expectations were high on his performance.
" -I felt I could bring.. a string. Nah mean?" he laughs out hard.
" -These guys knew nothing. No instruments, they couldn''t sing very well, there was some sense of rhythm
but I wasn''t that impressed to be honest. I gave them guidance and something to shoot for.
We could practice for twentyfour hours straight, then I would say to them.. ok, let''s take five
and then kinda force them to go another twenty four. Like I say; If you''re not disciplined enough, you''re a dumbfuck.
Opportunities are like apples.. we grasp. Nah sa''in?"
Crip Crutch sighs and rolls his eyes.
"Here we go again.."
André the Giant continues:
" - That was three years ago though.. now we got the.. apple. From the root to the fruit and it sounds fresh.
But let''s not neglect my part, my involvement in all this, man.."
Crip Crutch interrupts:
"- We all brought an equal amount of ..." he stops and thinks for a while.
" - The singing though.. not a big fan. I think I could have done without the singer. I told them instrumental is an option good as any but they simply wouldn''t listen. Without the Autotune plug in.. I don''t know, man.
Let me put it like this, no words are really worthy my shit.. if that makes any sense?"
So, you see, the chaos that was, got replaced with the chaos that is, and here we are now with the soundtrack of such perilous times, written and recorded during our first few years of survival.
