Details:
Although not one for gambling, this handsome, baby-faced Oklahoma native views life as if he is wearing a poker face. “It’s a risk. You lose everything and get it all back again.” Midwest staccato rhyme-spitter P.O.L.O., approaches his craft as an established veteran. With very little positive encouragement from home to succeed, P.O.L.O. found music as an opportunity to fight for his dreams. Determined to show and prove that he is making his mark on the Hip-Hop community, with the release of RECKLESS which opened doors for P.O.L.O. to perform with multi-platinum superstars such as Ja Rule, B.G., The Hot Boy$, YoungBloodz, Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Gucci Mane, Slim Thug, DSR and Lil Flip. While building a solid foundation off of underground buzz, P.O.L.O. has found himself at the epicenter of the bubbling scene and hopes to breakout with his debut album “Playapalegic”. The album, flanked by the smash singles “Tow Down” and “Sabastian L. Teflon”. P.O.L.O. goes by many aliases, such as “Frenchie”, “Sabastian”, and “P.O.L.O.” No matter what you call him, don’t call him lazy! P.O.L.O. is fueled by flamboyant player-isms and electric energy (as is evident in his performance footage, featured on the DVD side of his One Disk). P.O.L.O. gives a breakdown of how the album came to be, “This Playapalegic is basically an accomplishment of me coming from nothing and celebrating the fact that I’m here today. Now I’m out on the drive, hoggin’ both lanes and nobody is going to pass me by.” On the raw, synth-heavy “4 12’s in a trunk”, P.O.L.O. invites listeners to become acquainted with his sound by letting them know from the jump that you only live once. “It’s about my persona, my style and my personality. I’m natural and I’m going to make it by just being me.” The 808-laden club anthem “Tow Down” gives P.O.L.O. space to spit about living the fun life, kickin’ it with friends and dealing with the occasional hater. P.O.L.O. realizes the importance of targeting the streets, he relates to his listeners by sharing his experiences with those who come from the same place. By the time he turned 14, he was fueled with ambition when listening to artists such as the Geto Boys, N.W.A., E-40, Busta Rhymes, T.I., UGK, Eightball, MJG, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Cameron, Jay Z, and Lil Wayne. He pays homage to those encouraged and never gave up on him. The same respect P.O.L.O. has for his family and fallen comrades drives him toward the top of the success ladder and makes him an artist to look out for.
