The New album, WAY OF THE WORLD, further cements Gary’s reputation as one of Ireland’s most accomplished country singers .
That’s hardly surprising given that it exudes both quality and professionalism. Gary’s polished rendering of songs ranging from ‘Daughter of mine’ to ‘I’ll never take you back again’ is complemented by his lively presentation of such numbers as ‘Night of the Mardi Gras’ which has already gained popularity as a single.
And there’s an original touch to the CD, too, with the inclusion of ‘Thoughts of Tyrone’, a song specially written for Gary who underscores his many-sided musical talents by actually playing the bagpipes in ‘The Dark Island’. With the catchy ‘Tribute to the Melody Aces’ also on the CD, the Tyrone ‘feel’ is further enhanced.
“I was persuaded to play the pipes in the Dark Island and I must say that this seems to have worked well. I’m delighted with the overall content of the CD and I am hopeful that it will prove a success,” says Gary, whose band is currently one of the busiest on the circuit.
Their slick, stylish stage show has been winning them many new fans both here at home and in England and Scotland as well indeed as in Europe where they have toured much more of late.
