Details:
Supatha Nibbana takes its name from the ancient Pali language, Supatha meaning path and Nibbana meaning enlightenment, liberation, the unconditioned, or Nirvana that Buddhists and meditators aspire to reach in their practice. Each music track takes its title and inspiration from one of the steps of the Noble Eightfold Path, from the Magga-vibhanga Sutta taught by Buddha Shakyamuni. Buddha teaches that following the steps of the Noble Eightfold Path is all that is required to gain freedom from suffering.

Each track contains a different arrangement of instruments - some include chanting or toning, others contain the purifying sounds of Tibetan and crystal singing bowls and other Asian instruments. Some of the tracks have a very calming and soothing tone to invite the mind to calm and clear from busy thoughts while other tracks are more energetic to help overcome drowsiness and bring the attention back into focus. Each track contains a Sati (mindfulness) bell at the beginning and end to further help keep the mind from wandering.

The tracks can be listened to individually - chosen to suit the mood of the mind - or in sequence. Supatha Nibbana may be helpful for meditation (walking as well as sitting practice) and meditation preparation, mindful movement practices such as yoga and tai chi, or as calming background music.

Those who find a track inspiring or particularly suited to their practice can purchase the one-hour version of the title that contains three lengths of each track so that it can be used as a timer.
