Much can be said about music, but the most extraordinary thing about it, is how it means different things to different people. So growing up, I was always amazed by how this fact translates into countless music styles.
To me, music is a passion; it’s the most natural way by which we can express ourselves.
Over the years, I sampled every genre of music. I listened to the most popular of songs, and the deepest of underground tunes. This diversity in music taste has shaped my own compositions. This is why my first release: “FRESH”, is so unique, that you’ll find it unlike anything else you’ve heard before.
FRESH is universally familiar, yet completely individualized,... it’s a mix of electro lounge music, with dance, jazz, funk and R&B influences; merged with disco and oriental beats.
When you buy the CD (or individual mp3s), I hope that you savour every track as an experience. I’ve always been a fan of contradictory art, so in every song you’ll notice the detail in transitions and how every second has been worked-on again and again, to near perfection,…. yet, the whole track flows seamlessly, as if no detail exists,… as if no perfection was sought.
This is why you’ll notice that at times you can have the CD playing in the background, while you do something else,…. while at other times, you’d want to stop everything else you’re doing to enjoy the songs.
FRESH is also an experimental CD; an avant garde approach to style mixing. For example, I like to make music, not songs with lyrics and vocals. However when composing FRESH, the CD, I went with the flow,… so some tracks turned out to be just music, others have limited voice sound effects, while others ended-up with full vocals.
I hope you enjoy the CD. It’s the best that I could present at this point in time, so let me know what you think. I’d love to hear from you, so visit my official website, the Facebook page or MySpace to comment online or send me an e-mail.
