Maggie Baird is a Singer/ Songwriter whose music ranges from deeply touching to ironic and humorous. Her country roots established growing up in a small town in Colorado merge with her big city adult life both in her lyrics and arrangements.
Having traveled the country as an actor for many years based out of a railroad apartment in NYC, she later made her way to Los Angeles where she focused her writing and performing skills alongside Will Ferrell at The Groundlings creating memorable pieces including numerous musical numbers. She also works regularly in television and movies and extensively as a voice-over performer in video games, animation and commercials.
A lifelong songwriter she originally stepped into the music world as a singer when she produced a CD of nine songs for her dying Father (currently being re-mixed for commercial release) titled My Father’s Daughter.
In 2008 her song and Youtube video THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE based on her family’s struggles with the crashing economy, touched a chord with friends and fans.
Now her new CD-We Sail-is finally here. With songs inspired by her long time marriage and her two children as well as the stories and experiences of friends she releases a collection of songs about love, loss and hope.
