Therese is an Oregon native who started playing piano when she was six. Generally self-taught, she grew up with the opportunity to challenge herself, with stacks of music books just waiting for attention.
It was at a small private high school where Therese put her piano skills to the test - she became the school''s accompanist, as a freshman. This extraordinary experience eventually led her to a BS in Music Education from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA.
Her post-grad music opportunities were minimal, but her composing, recording and playing engagements continued, nonetheless. It''s compositions from that era that have become standards that she plays currently.
Therese is a regular for Port of Portland’s music program, entertaining travelers on layover at PDX. She plays keyboards for a local jazz band, "East Winds" and performs regularly at venues in the Portland metro area.
