Details:
TrebleMusic Productions announced this week they will release Joey Salinas’ second full-length studio album, “…And Then There Was Alexander.” The album is the much-anticipated follow-up to Salinas’ award-winning 2005 debut album, “In the Beginning”, featuring the ballad “All of Me” and the single “The Beat of the Drum”, a dance floor smash that yielded Joey Salinas a Billboard Magazine award. Before signing with TrebleMusic Productions, the DC-based artist had already established an impressive underground fan base for his eclectic range of music singles, including the urban drum-based “Nympho/Maniac” (2007), also featured on the debut album. “…And Then There Was Alexander” continues Salinas’ voyage into the varied and often-times complicated adventures of a young man’s life.

The first single to release from “…And Then There Was Alexander” will be “Bedtime,” a song penned by the artist. As Joey Salinas describes it, the true-to-life track was inspired by the heated anticipation of a hotel booty call.

“I got to the room, changed clothes and then waited. I waited… and waited some more. I was anxious and horny as hell,” he explains. “So to distract myself, I grabbed a pen and notepad and allowed the urgent, erotic energy to spill over into a tune.”

The ups and downs of Joey’s rollercoaster emotions bleed into his music. It is that personalized touch that critics say makes the young artist unique and unforgettable. “Life inspires me to write songs. I take from my experiences and craft music.” He laughs, but isn’t joking when he says, “friends and family know not to upset me because they will end up in my next track.”

“I tap into a wide audience because I don’t limit myself to a particular subset,” Joey says. “I reveal and explore every aspect of my self: my sensitive side, aggressive side, sexual and moody sides. I think it helps makes me relatable to a lot of guys. And women respond because I’m giving them a window into how men think.”

“My ultimate mission is to reach into the hearts of fans and enhance their lives. Maybe I can help them get through a hard time, or make a good situation memorable through music.”
