No Anchor is Alex Gillies (drums) and Ian Rogers (bass / vocals). The band formed in Brisbane, Australia in 2008.
‘Steam’ is the band’s 2nd album following 2008’s Fire, Flood & Acid Mud. Steam was mixed, produced and mastered by internationally renown sound artist Lawrence English. The album was recorded by Cameron Smith (who has recorded The John Steel Singers and Little Scout amongst others)
The band have played along side Magic Dirt, Monarch! (France), The Grey Daturas, SPOD, Children Collide and I Heart Hiroshima amongst others. During their downtime, Alex is a lumberjack and Ian recycles aluminum cans - with his bare hands.
