Originally from North Carolina and co-founder of Touchstone, he recorded two award-winning albums in the l980s. Zan''s CD, Highland Soul, won the Washington Area Music Association award for Album of the Year in l993. He performs as a freelance musician, recording artist, producer and engineer at his own project studio, near Washington D.C.
