The Lyrical Genius was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He started out with a passion for music and a love for poetry. Combining the two, he found himself trapped in a musical state that quickly started capturing the attention of true music lovers. Through word of mouth, The Lyrical Genius’s name quickly reached the ears of a non-hip hop lover, Andre Dawson, former Chicago Cubs All-star, who at the time was releasing an artist that requested The Lyrical Genius appear on her album. The first time Andre Dawson saw The Lyrical Genius perform, he immediately began to pursue him as an artist. Andre Dawson later became the Lyrical Genius’s manager for two years.
In an effort to pursue his music further, The Lyrical Genius decided to relocate to Atlanta where through word of mouth he quickly was introduced to Zaytoven, producer for many artists in the South, Gucci Mane, Young Ralph, Shop Boys, Young LA, just to name a few. When Zaytoven heard The Lyrical Genius for the first time, he immediately recorded him segmenting to date 19 completed mastered songs. The Lyrical Genius is truly a poet that knows true music and believes in blessing his fans with the “Magic!”
