Details:
The Labrets, with their debut album ''Format'', bring you 13 delicious slices of exquisite UK Indie classics. In the pursuit of trying to find that perfect song, each track melodically flows from one to the next exploring the sweet and sour of the human condition.

Prior to forming The Labrets, the founding member performed and wrote with various bands and at one point signed to Island; supported legendary acts such as Green Day, The Stereophonics and Paul Weller; had sessions and single of the week on BBC Radio One, appearances on MTV, and even a number 1 song on the NME charts. ''Format'' represents a new direction combining British Indie, classic UK & US Rock with elements of folk, psychedelia, and electronica.

The opening track ''High Then Low'' condenses down, in the form of a classic Indie Pop song, the ups and downs that modern life has to throw at us. ''Subway Station'', which follows, is literally a journey that reflects the individualism, yet isolationism, of our modern existence, wrapped in a blanket of adverts and brands.

''In Your Own Way'' represents that ideal of being your own person and living and creating in your own unique way. ''Wage Slave'', on the other hand, provides a stark reminder that ultimately we are all still working for ''the man'', then another day passes you by in the cowpunk romp ''Is This It''.

''Going Grey'' with its Free-like improvised rock outro, reflects on the passage of time, the ways of the world, and renewal in the change of the seasons. Similarly with its beautiful harmonic vocal progressions ''Garbo'' charts the cyclic nature of the Hollywood dream.

The laid back bowie-esque ballad ''Breathe'' sings of the iconic love song, in the form of an iconic love song, whereas the upbeat fuzz box encrusted track ''Tonight'', is more about loss, the dual needs of companionship and a time for being alone.

''Wasting My Time'' reflects on change, moving from one state to another. The epic ''Tremolo Song'' with it''s layered psychedelic soundscapes, brings the album to a near conclusion with reflections of the good, the bad and the ugly.

The penultimate ''Goodbye Eden'', a beautiful yet simple acoustic guitar and cello track, takes the album off into a melancholic direction before concluding with the frenzied keyboard highs of ''Lightbeam''.

Produced from the heart and delivered in convenient CD and MP3 formats, The Labrets premier album ''Format'' makes a great addition to any album collection. A soundtrack from the world of The Labrets in glorious multi-coloured shades of grey.
