Details:
1. Down by the Riverside
Dreaming Machines’ “Speed of Flying Creatures” begins with the ringing of a prayer bowel in “Down by the Riverside.” It bangs its way with bumps and bamboo wind chimes into a glorious flute introduction. And then - an Indian drum and African harp emerge through the sound of a modern Turkish instrument, cümbüş – then lyrics.

2. Speeding Up the Modern Age
A transcendental morph of instruments featuring Kurt on Shakuhachi Flute.

3. Compliant Electroadhesion
Chinese – acid punk – hillbilly (san xien & ehru)

4. Escape from a County Jail
Xtreme Chinese Hillbilly – great slide ehru playing by Kurt combined with hand drum and chant by Arnie making this tune “Deliverance” times 10.

5. Broken Spy Satellite
a baritone ukulele duet – believe it or not…Imagine being lost at see and bumping into all the wrong places through out your sacred journey.

6. The Road is Long Long Long
This journey begins confident and spacious with the deep drone of Kurt bowing a resonator guitar. Arnie’s flute bookends an impromptu lyric.

7. Travel Between Times
music to drink tea by – occasionally pounding on instruments can make the most wonderful drone – “Twin Peaks” 30 years later

8. Beautiful Blue Sphere
Arnie plucks a kinnor, (ten string harp) and chants with Kurt’s Shakuhachi flute

9. Positive and Negative Charges
Mysterious – Plotting – Dangerous – Mesmerizing – slightly twisted and tribal using resonator guitar and mridangam (Indian drum).

10. We Shall Not Be Moved
Arnie strums his German made ukulele and howels “We Shall Not Be Moved” while Kurt rustles about playing Indian drum and African Heart sometimes simultaneously.

11. Speed of Flying Creatures
Arnie sets a thunderous stride playing a Moroccan sinter to lead up to Kurt strumming a Bulbul Tarang (Indian banjo).

12. Can You Spare Some Change
One of many versions of an original Dreaming Machines song. A strangled kind of country blues song about longing for life change – oh, and making a buck.
