Set to a smooth jazz/pop flavor, "Blue Rose at Midnight," features a perfect blend of sultry love ballads, gutsy spoken word pieces, and uplifting inspirational tunes. The selections are designed to celebrate love, and to liberate the hearts and spirits of its listeners.
As the CD''s central theme, LOVE, in all of the ways it is experienced, from the sensual to the divine, is blessed. In one selection, The Presence of Goodness, Earth Angel encourages us to allow the Universe to express the power of God, through us. Hold On To Your Dream is an ode to self-love. Blue Rose at Midnight, Father Heal My Aching Heart, Feeling Grey, and When I Close My Eyes at Night, invoke passionate moods of love, and invite the listener to release the love trapped within the corridors of their own hearts. While, spoken-word piece, In The Key of Me, celebrates being in tune with oneself. The CD also features the spoken vocals of Rev. Walter L. Kimbrough, on the Lord''s Prayer, and the debut performance of her daughter, "Angel Child."
Since its pre-release, "Blue Rose at Midnight" has met with enthusiastic support from Atlanta audiences. Earth Angel was a featured entertainer at the grand opening of Camp Creek Marketplace, one of the Southside''s newest retail centers. She also christened the opening of the Barnes & Noble bookstore at Camp Creek, with a performance and CD signing that sparked a firestorm of interest in the project.
Surrounded by a kinetic glow, Earth Angel has appeared as an opening act at the "Sisters by Choice Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit Concert", starring Patti LaBelle and Chris Tucker. She also appeared at the "Hillside Chapel & Truth Center 32nd Anniversary Tribute & Celebration to Dr. Barbara K. King", featuring Della Reese, Danny Glover and BeBe Winans. The multi-faceted and multi-talented jewel possesses the presence and confidence of someone on a divinely ordered path.
Blessed by the talents of some of the finest musicians in the southeast, Bill Anschell, Randy Hoexter, Sam Skelton, Ramon Pooser, Woody Williams, Randy Honea, Delores Major, and the creative guidance of the late, "internationally acclaimed" recording artist, Carl Anderson, "Blue Rose at Midnight," was destined to become a dynamic reality.
