Heart & Soul is a real down to earth all acoustic country/ blues band featuring 12-string, 6-string, dobro, piano, bass and mandolin with highly versatile country rock vocals. Mainstays of the band are songwriter/ 12-string guitarist John Scott, lead vocalist Cindy Sauer and bassist John (JJ) Joseph. They are also accompanied by an entourage of local pickers and players, Tommy Williamson (6-string), Tim Latimer (dobro), Joe Vaught (drums) and Jim Scarlet (6-string, dobro, mandolin and piano). Although they did submit to the steel guitar playing of Larry Sasser (Ray Steven’s steel player), they steer away from electric guitars and synthesizers. Take away studio effects and amplification most bands fall apart. “If you can take acoustic guitars, sit in a room and blow people away that’s a statement!” Songwriter John Scott and vocalist Cindy Sauer along with bass player John Joseph have the perfect combination of songs played from the “Heart” that touch the “Soul”.
