Cherisa Ali also known as RE-RE was born in Corpus Christi, Tx. As a child growing up she was exposed to different genres of music and various styles of dancing. As a result she developed a very high interest in entertainment. She started competing in school talent shows from 6th grade, up until her Sr. year in high school. Cherisa was primarily known for her dancing but, also challenged her singing and rapping abilities too. She was charismatic, competitive, ambitious, meticulous and a perfectionist. By graduation Cherisa had achieved a total of 23 awards from talent shows and school activities. In 1999 Cherisa raised the bar by putting a group together called “Unity.” However, the group later fell apart and Cherisa joined another group called “Front Page Hustlas.” Joining the group “Front Page Hustlas” was a life changing experience for Cherisa. The group traveled and performed at a variety of venues. But, later the group fell apart. As a result Cherisa started working on her own solo project. In 2001 “Hello Haterz” was finally released in a local music store called “Craigs Music Factory.” Then in 2002 she started another group called “DyNaMiCc DuO.” The Duo did a total of three mixtapes and was working on a group project. Sadly the group fell apart and never completed their project. However, in 2005 Cherisa finally completed her second album entitled “NO U-TURNS.” In addition she was featured in “Down Magazine” on December 19, 2005. After being featured in “Down Magazine” Cherisa recorded her third album entitled “Screaming Soul.” While working on her fourth album “Expect The Unexpected” Cherisa obtained her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration majoring in Small Business Management/Entrepreneurship to sharpen up her business skills, as C.E.O of RE-RE RECORDS.
