Stationed in a dimly lit room, the air thick with smoke, not a sound to be heard, he sits as if in a trance. Contemplating his deepest memories and calculating tones from the thoughts in his head, he suddenly lifts himself from his perch and descends upon his prey as a raptor to his helpless victim. In an instant the keyboard comes to life, issuing new sounds as if they had been there forever - placed long ago by ancient sorcerers far wiser than we. After hours that seem to pass in seconds the composition is complete and the students are gathered round, eager to hear what the master has made this time. As the dim lights are extinguished, eyes are closed and all ears become portals, into which new worlds and images emerge…

In his own words:
Every waking moment since the Gulf War did I consciously meditate to form a higher awareness because my core being raged and seethed with anger at the fact that men still waged war and atrocities, and I was a participant in those pointless endeavors.
The next thing that I experienced is synchronicity, which is the coincidental occurrence of events and especially psychic events (as similar thoughts in widely separated persons or a mental image of an unexpected event before it happens) that seem related but are not explained by conventional mechanisms of causality. I would find myself in places during unique occurrences, time and time again, so much so that I had to stay home for an extended period of time so as not to be involved with life.
I bought a synthesizer and experimented with tone frequencies, because I did not know how to play piano but I had these random tones resonating in my mind and I wanted to recreate those sounds. The instant I sat down to experiment with music, I was composing and playing songs from patterns I formed in my mind. I could in fact taste/feel/see/sense the tones and patterns of frequencies in such a way that it defies reality yet indeed this ability also has a explanation, this is known as Synaesthesia which is a harmless condition in which people experience perceptual sensations that are not shared by most other members of the population.
Empathy and Synaesthesia combined allows me to interpret meanings and emotional input/output of any song I hear. For example, when I hear a bird chirp or the sounds of whales, I see shapes and forms and extrapolate the essence of the emanating tones. For years, I kept this a secret but after 8 albums and 323 songs, that I composed in my mind without ever writing down a single note, people began to notice and ask questions.
