Jamila Thompson is a Teenage Atlanta-based Actor, Vocalist, Songwriter, Dancer, Musician, Comedian and Athlete with credits in TV and Theater.
Musically, Jamila grew up in a household that was full of all kinds of music from all over the world! Since her father was an artist and musician who loved all kinds of music....Jamila grew up listening to R&B, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Rock, NeoSoul, Pop, Reggae, Soca and various music from Africa.
In addition, when growing up Jamila always performed at family gatherings and reunions, along with performing in various Dance Troups, Cheerleading, Step Team, Talent Shows, etc.
Jamila has always said that when she becomes successful she would like to help those in need with Africa being one of the first places that she wants to go.
Her focus as a songwriter and performer is primarily to encourage young girls to strive for confidence and self respect in their lives...and to always be the best that they can be.

* Performing in a Principle role in Tyler Perry’s TV show "The House of Payne"
* Won First Prize in multiple events such as "Georgia’s Most Talented" Walton competition as a vocalist

* Was the featured vocalist performer at the Fox Theater''s TalentStore Showcase
* Jamila is currently set to participate in Georgia’s Most Talented competition this spring 2009
* In addition, she has performed in various orchestra concerts playing both the Violin and Viola
