This is the 3rd full length release for the Drool Brothers. Chuck Mancillas, Tom Slik and Joe Kramer piece together an eclectic array of deconstructed pop music underneath ghetto grooves from the garage. Like their uncle’s garage, AJAX MUFFLER, in East Los Angeles, greasy fragments, once unusable are dangerously pieced together to form warped versions of what things are supposed to be. This record is not unlike a dragster or a low-rider created by someone who doesn’t have much money, but has the will to create what is in their mind. Stories of cynicism and vulnerability are told through a soundscape of home made of fuzz boxes, swirling farfisa organ, heroin influenced hot rod bongos, 70’s glitter rock posturing, ghetto funk and other unusable pieces and orphaned sounds found in AJAX MUFFLER.
