Details:
Dan Geldart has been making music since his sophomore year of college at Southwest Baptist University back in 2003. He was the drummer in a hardcore band called AINEO for the first three collegiate years.
“It was seriously some of the most fun I’ve ever had,” he says.
Somewhere along the way, however, he began to feel dissatisfied with his role as drummer alone…He began to have his own lyrical ideas that he wanted express. So he picked up the guitar on a more regular basis and started writing; sometimes poetry and sometimes just journaling thoughts in an unorganized fashion. These writing eventually turned into songs.
After about 3 years with AINEO he called it quits and began giving more time to the songs he had written. He got little coffee shop gigs here and there and played his songs for anyone who would listen.
Off and on he would get a band together, but he liked the idea that the songs could work both with a group and as a solo act.
Geldart’s Lyrics cover a wide range. Sometimes (often times) it’s about a girl, other times it is about a pressing moral truth, and on a few occasions a simple idea will just run away.
In college, Dan studied Youth Ministry and graduated in 2006. For the next couple of years he was on staff at Valley Fellowship in Leawood, KS serving as their Youth Minister. Early summer of 2008 his mind began to stir over the issue of taking music more seriously.
“I’m 25. I’ve always wanted to ‘try’ music. It’s now or never.”
So in August of 2008, Dan stepped down from his staff position and started chasing…and that’s where he is now. Chasing.
Geldart’s freshman CD, “energy released from source to server,” came out in November of 2005. And now, after nearly a year and a half of hard work, their sophomore CD, “Dawn Will Come” is ready.

“I’m very excited about this record. Although our electric guitarist, Toby Shelton, wasn’t around for the recording, it’s so fun because Curtis Calvert, Andrew Barnes, and Dave Geldart (whom I used to play live with); and Ricky Shipe and Megan Ross (whom I now play live with) are all included in the recording, making for a very full and delicious sound.
I feel that this CD is considerably more mature in both sound and writing. It’s a blend of synthetic and organic sounds that I’m proud to put into your hands and I hope you enjoy.”
~Dan Geldart

“If you call yourself a fan of Geldart, if you’ve ever come to see Geldart live, if you’ve ever purchased a CD, or if you’ve even just liked something you’ve heard and told a friend, we honestly want to say thank you.
Without you, we have no one to play for.
Your support means everything.”
