All original songs written by Ron & Mary except A Lost Tourist''s Letter Home by Ann Thomas and My Florida (A Rave-On) by Diogenes D Dogg. We thank Frank Thomas and Diogenese for their permission to record these great tracks. We do a verse of Hard Times Come Again No More and the song Old Folks At Home penned by Stephen Foster of course (and in the Public Domain).

I have to say Raven does an outstanding job with "My Florida (A Rave-On)" a spoken word piece where he goes on a real rave about "My Florida..." It really gets your blood going. His reading of our buddy and street poet Diogenes'' poem is worth the CD alone! Raven does some nice flute solos on some of the other tunes as well.

Mary has some nice songs this time, most notably Florida Blues (she really nails this one, again worth the price of the CD alone)! And Ann Thomas'' song A Lost Tourist''s Letter Home is great. People really react to that song when we play it live, sometimes they laugh out loud, and we''re very happy Frank gave us permission to record it. Mary also sings the title track (my favorite song) and adds harmonies to most of the songs.

Rock On (My Florida Heart) is a rocker. Its our best Lynyrd Skynyrd impression. The guitar really carries this one. And Rescue Train has a cool ghost part in it and it''s especially eerie with headphones on. This song was a direct inspiration from Boomslang''s song "Last Train Out of Key West." In reading more about his story, I found this one and I''m glad to finally record it. A true story and supplements Doug''s great song "Hemingway''s Hurricane."

Pigs In My Garden (Again) has become our show stopper when we play live, snort. And its a good protest song against Georgia Pacific! Whee whee.

Say Goodbye to the Last Angry Man is a tribute to Bobby Hicks. I tried to write the best song I could for a man I loved and greatly admired. Thats all I can really say about it, other than I hope there are many more songs about and inspired by Bobby.

Finally, there''s our little gospel song I Can See which we placed directly after Ann and Bobbys songs, for obvious reasons.

After Raven''s poem, the CD ends with Old Folks At Home, still the official state song of Florida!

Mary & I did guitars, banjo, piano and I did the kazoo (Personally I thought we could have used more kazoo on this CD but got voted down for that one). Mary I do all the vocals. Raven plays flute and our friend Mike Pierson does a little electric guitar. Andy King plays bass and piano and some drums.
