Strapping on his first guitar purchased from a drug store, Lance Watkins played that guitar until his finger tips bled. He recalls, “I couldn''t play worth a dam but I just keep at it until I could play some basic chords. That was the beginning of a life long passion and appreciation for music. He finally got a decent guitar. Lance has played with a number of local musicians and has enjoyed hanging out listening to many of the great Bay Area bands. Spending a number of years playing in a rock band with his buds, Lance gave up the band life and decided he would write his own music and lyrics. Love, Life and Riley is a collection of songs that reflect getting up in the morning and going to work, love, food, crazy relationships and the daily grind of living. The music is playful, the lyrics are tongue and cheek and the mood is fun! If you like David Bowie, Billy Idol, Tom Waits and Warren Zevon, you may just get kick out this album. Give it a listen!
