At a time when the music marketplace is flooded with carbon copy rappers rhyming over generic, watered down beats, a new generation of talent is poised on the brink of the come-up.
Tampa natives and Middleton graduates, brothers J. Wood, (real name Jarell Wooden) and Physical, (real name Jarrod Seeberan) teamed up in 2005 and began promoting and starring in local talent shows throughout the Tampa area. Soon after, the buzz was spreading about these two young guys Physical and J. Wood, known throughout the high schools and teen scene as the “Promoter” and “Entertainer” and the crazy parties and shows they would put on. Originally from Panama, Latin phenomenon J. Brit, (real name Jorge Britton) moved to L.A. and was introduced to hip-hop and dance at an early age. By the time he was a teenager, J. Brit had already made a name for himself as a performer throughout southern California and was touring with Ne-Yo as an opening act. Physical and J. Wood took notice of him at one of his shows and saw potential in J. Brit’s outstanding dance skills and the way the ladies responded to his performance. Not long after, J. Wood and Physical recruited J. Brit to become apart of the group along with cousin Markiss, (real name Marcus Lewis). This North Carolina native moved to Tampa and was an instant fit, charming the ladies with his soothing voice and at last completing the final piece of the puzzle.

Paying tribute to both new and old school, T.M.P.’s influence ranges from, 112, B2K, Jagged Edge, and Usher, to The Jackson 5, Bobby Brown, and Jodeci just to name a few. But influences can only take you so far – what they needed was to find their own voice and develop a presence unparalleled throughout the entire region. They teamed up with long time friend and party promoter DJ Ripper, Terror Squad’s and WILD 98.7 FM’s DJ Christion, producers B. “Money” Smith, GJ “Jackson”, and J. Walt of DRUMLINE MUZIC production team and Lloyd “Lizzo” Forrest of KRYSTYLE ENT./FLIP TV, and history was in the making.

Despite the members'' young age, T.M.P. has encountered success and fame in a short time. First making waves with 2007’s smash singles, “Baby Gurl,” and “Honey,” in 2008 T.M.P. raised the bar with the crazy singles “Wind” and “Leave with Me” and has thrilled audiences with their electrifying stage act, lighting up stages across the state. With their extraordinary skills in singing, dancing, rapping, and songwriting, the group did not find any difficulties to rise as the “Hip-Hop and R&B Kings of the Bay”.

T.M.P. pride themselves on not only upholding, but also embracing and advancing the position they have created throughout the years, appealing to the ladies while maintaining their unique look and style of music. Together these four young gentlemen comprise the hip-hop/pop ensemble known to the world as TMP, and have emerged with a distinctive flair, coupled with the discipline and tenacity that breeds chart-topping success.
