This is simple but complicated.
We are six accomplished and experienced players and dear friends that have been making a lot of music & magic together for 14 years. We all met and still live in Portland, Oregon.
Everyone plays actively in other groups, professionally, ranging from "regional" to "national," and symphonic orchestras to celtic, to cabaret music. Between the six of us we''ve easily got a century of experience as professional musicians. There are 5 ½ music degrees and (oddly enough) 3 law degrees ... a couple attorneys, a woodworker, manager of a humongous event facility, manager of shelters for homeless kids, and a speaker designer on the verge of bringing hi-fi wireless surround sound to the masses.
Also all dads & family men in a devoted, "old fashioned sense."
But BAHTTSI is our secret passion ... the place where our friendships, our history, and the massive free creativity of all six minds (plus chops) can consistently make true magic ... the one place we can play for the sheer joy of it. This is the "side project" tail that wags all our dogs!
The Zig Zag Sessions are a 2 CD set of music all recorded in one day in a rental house in Zig Zag, Oregon, April 2008.
