“Ms. Right”: Maggie Robinson Wright was born in San Bernardino, California and received her education in the local school system. Maggie is the mother of two beautiful children, Demaggio who is an up and coming drummer and Brianne’ who has become an accomplished vocalist in her own right. They are both featured on their mother’s Real Life CD; Brianne’ as the lead vocalist on the song, “Mr. Invisible” and Demaggio the drummer on “God Be With You”. .
Maggie began taking piano lessons at the age of nine years old. The piano lessons continued for five years. Maggie began playing for the church at the age of eleven. Two years later, she became the “Music Director” for the church. At the age of fourteen, she began playing both organ and piano for the Riverside Mass choir. Maggie sang both lead and background vocals in the live recording of the Riverside Mass Choir. At the age of sixteen; she won the Inland Empire “Peoples Choice Award” in the category of Best Female Keyboard player. Maggie was honored in 2005 with a musician’s award in the Inland Empire.
Later Maggie played for numerous churches in the Inland Empire, Oakland, California and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She both sang and played the organ for the Love Center Young Adult Choir in Oakland, California with renowned Pastor Walter Hawkins. Maggie also worked on a “Live Recording” in Ghana Africa with recording artist Karen Wiggins and Diana Akiwumi. Maggie has performed at B.B. King’s House of Blues in Universal City and at the Celebrity Center in Hollywood, California.
Maggie has never studied any music other than Gospel, but has had many examples in the music industry. One of which was being married to one of the brothers of the world renowned Gap Band family; that’s why her style is so unique. This CD is her personal diary, her extraordinary life changing testimony, a reflection of who she is and what God has brought her and her family through.
Maggie’s songwriting career began and ended at the age of sixteen because of discouragement. Six years ago, Maggie felt it necessary to start writing songs for stress relief while going through a series of life changing events.
Every song has been birthed out of different experiences that both she and we have faced or will face in life. It is her goal that these songs will encourage each listener. The style of the music is truly unique; and now that “Ms. Right” has your attention listen to and focus on the lyrics of each song, they will touch your soul and minister to your spirit cause it’s “Real Life”!!!!!!!!
