Details:
PACO was the founding member of Costa Rica''s most recognized Reggaeton/Hip-Hop group, Ragga by Roots, (Polygram Int''l), which earned Platinum sales in Central America. As a solo artist and as part of Ragga by Roots, PACO has performed in front of crowds numbering more than 50,000, breaking all records for CD sales, ticket sales and awards in Costa Rica.

Born in San Jose, Costa Rica, PACO became a master songwriter, vocalist and musician, creating ménage-a-music that combines dynamic world rhythms, sexy Latin hip-hop, rock, jazz beats and reggae dancehall. Drawing from a jukebox of world influences, he creates soul-stirring, hip-shaking music.

PACO’s first solo album "Zafra Amarga" occupied the #1 Chart position of every major Costa Rican radio and television station within the first month of its release. He has performed with some of the most successful Latin and Jamaican artists, including Beenie Man, DLG, Proyecto Uno, Ilegales, Ilya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, Control Machete, and Ricardo Arjona.

Soon after relocating to Los Angeles in 2000, he was nominated at the “2000 L.A. Music Awards" for both "Best Hip-Hop Artist" and "Best Rock en Español" categories. In the short time PACO has been in The States, he has had much success with his independently recorded songs. His Latin anthem “Latino Style” was featured on the “2002 Billboard Hot Latin Tracks”; “Diky Diky” was included on the compilation album for the “LAMC” (Latin Alternative Music Conference); and the ballad “Nadie Como Tu” was on the “Sounds of ASCAP 2003” compilation CD. In November of 2002, another of his indie singles, “Dance”, was on heavy rotation at VIVA 107.1, one of the largest Latin radio stations in Los Angeles. VIVA included PACO in their “VIVA X-TREME SUMMER JAM CONCERT” that took place at Magic Mountain Theme Park, sharing the bill with Gerardo, Vico-C, Big Boy & Cabas.
PACO rocked the house with his brilliant and exciting performance leaving the audience begging for more.

2003 brought new opportunities for PACO. He performed as guest rapper for legendary Latin artist Gustavo Cerati (Soda Estereo) at the Hollywood Palace and at J.C. Fandango’s for Cerati’s world tour “Siempre Es Hoy”. His songs appeared in the hit HBO television series Sex and The City, and in Adrenalina on Mun2.

In 2004, PACO landed song placements on FX’s The Shield, CBS’s The District and the new HBO series Entourage. He co-wrote with Howie D (Backstreet Boys) for Howie’s upcoming solo album and was also one of the featured rappers in the McDonald’s “I’m Loving It” campaign.

PACO was engaged in 2005 as rapper, songwriter and musical consultant for the November 2006 release of the animated feature film, “Happy Feet”, starring Robin Williams, working directly with Robin and composer John Powell.

So far in 2006, Paco’s sizzling Reggaeton song, “Fire!” was chosen by Motorola for their Motomix web campaign where visitors create their own music video with visual elements contributed by Paco. This same song was also chosen for Verizon’s Hispanic Heritage webpage.

This year he has also succeeded in placing songs on Desperate Housewives/ABC, CSI: Miami/ABC and The Shield/Fox.

PACO is also a successful voice-over artist in the U.S., Latin America and Europe for leading multinational companies including NBC/Telemundo, Toyota, Colgate, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell (voice of the Chihuahua/Central Amer.), Nike, Pepsi, ABC, Verizon, and Burger King (as well as appearances on-camera).

PACO is now on the verge of becoming the next big Latin American artist out of Los Angeles. Considered a turn-key, full-package artist, PACO is now looking to take his career to the next level by putting out his new album, “Urbano, Latinoamericano”, which includes collaborations with Latin Hip-Hop Legend “Magic Juan” and up-and-coming producer Julian Bunetta. With 5 videos ready to go and his single “Latinoamericano” pegged as MTV in Español’s buzzworthy video…Paco is now in a position to take the music industry by storm…
