"Enjoyed it very much. Moving. I even cried --- I liked the combination of mandolin and piano" --Isabel Goldstein, member of NYC Labor Chorus.

"Wonderful, Inspiring, Entertaining, and Educational. We need more performances!" Carl S.

Mary Harris "Mother" Jones was the most remarkable woman organizer/agitator in the American labor movement.
"Pray for the dead, fight like hell for the living," she said. ...She was born in Ireland in 1830; taught school; married; lost husband and children; made dresses before becoming an organizer of coal miners at the age of 50. They called her "The Miner''s Angel." Jailed in Colorado during the Ludlow Massacre. Led a march of factory children from Philadelphia to NYC to petition President Roosevelt to stop child labor... Jailed in West Virginia at age 83; she emerged to fill Carnegie Hall!!!
You will find all of this and more in the Libretto, ($12.95); and in the new CD: WHOLLY MOTHER JONES ($12.95).
