His career includes performances, touring, TV appearances and recording through Europe, South America, North America and Central America, to include:

He was a long-term student of the Legendary Jazz Masters: Mr. Allan Dawson, and Mr. Gary Chaffee while living in Boston Ma.
He is the leader of his own group, "Henry De Almeida & The Brazilian Jazz Project".
The group plays a mixture of Brazilian music and Jazz. The band has a new record to be out in the Fall 2005. Mr. De Almeida is also the co-leader of the Colorado based, modern Jazz band, "Cornerstone", with bassist Kim Stone (Spyro Gyra/The Remington''s), and the Jazz Fusion group "Deux" with Jazz bassist virtuoso, bassist Kirwan Brown.
Kirwan Brown was born in Tennessee in 1961. His father, a Southern Baptist minister, joined the Air Force soon after as a chaplain, and the family subsequently moved to Ohio in 1962, Idaho in 1963, and central California in 1964. In Cali, Kirwan began noticing the hits on the radio and at age 4 became enamored with such pop classics as "Wendy" and "Downtown." The Brown family moved to Halstead, England, in 1966, where Kirwan began picking out church hymn melodies on the white keys of an upright piano, mostly correctly, since hymns don''t typically have sharp fives and flat nines and shit like that. Piano lessons were started soon after with the truly charming and elegant Joan Dare, a British church organist. Around this time Kirwan''s parents took him down to London to see the premier of Stanley Kubrick''s "2001" and good ''ol dad bought the soundtrack soon after.
Kirwan has since been a huge fan of Stanley Kubrick and many of the composers featured on the soundtrack, like that dude Lygeti. In 1969, the family moved briefly to Richmond, Virginia, while Kirwan''s father, James (no kidding -- that''s his name), finished a master''s degree in religious education. In 1970, they all moved down to San Antonio, Texas, where Kirwan continued piano lessons and fell in love with early 70''s radio. The Carpenters had a profound influence on young Kirwan, and "We''ve Only Just Begun" changed his life. The electric bass part on the Brady Bunch theme, played with a pick, probably by Carol Kaye or some other studio legend, sparked an interest in Kirwan, but he began playing the trombone instead. Kirwan''s first 45 single purchase was Michael Jackson''s "Rockin'' Robin", at a local mall. Soon after he began listening to the band Chicago, and was thrilled that the LP''s came with posters. Little did he know that years later he would do session work for the band''s drummer, Danny Seraphine, in Evergreen, Colorado. Also around this time, the 11-yr-old Kirwan found he had a mild crush on a teenage actor named Kurt Russell who was then appearing in many Walt Disney movies.
Shock therapy and isolation at a Japanese mental hospital soon cured him, and after the family moved to North Dakota in 1973, he got around to picking up the electric bass in an attempt to butch it up. He played keyboard in a little rock band with some neighborhood kids, but they couldn''t find a bass player. One day a kid who had just bought a bass and a little amp came over, and he couldn''t play it, but the sound of the open strings rumbling around and subsequently shaking the floor sealed the deal, and Kirwan went and got a bass himself and taught himself the radio hit "Sundown" by Gordon Lightfoot. He later got into jazz and fusion music, saw Jaco Pastorius live with Weather Report in Mannheim, Germany, while attending high school in nearby Kaiserslautern, studied at the University of Miami on a scholarship, and played with a bunch of famous people. He released his first CD, "Cool Grooves," in 1994, and this recording was listed on that year''s Grammy Voter Ballot in three categories: Best New Artist, Best Jazz Album, and Album of the Year. But at that point in his career he still hadn''t heard a lot of good music, and brief visits to New York began changing his playing and writing style.
