MP3 kathleen Daniel - Silicious

I create the music that makes me move:a funky bass with a sassy beat and strong hook. A hip-hop flavor.

12 MP3 Songs
POP: Party Pop, URBAN/R&B: R&B Pop Crossover

Details:
Kathleen was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and became a fashion designer while still in High school. But music tookover. Her music-style is Urban Funk-pop, reflecting the turbulent life she lived – seeing the different-strokes-for-different-folks syndrom, and crossing paths with the needy and the greedy.

She deals with how it is, rather than how you want it to be. As a zodiac water-sign, she flows right on into reality, which stayed in her face so strong, there was no place for fantasy. Where you couldn''t afford to be innocent of the crime imposed upon you. The same environment that helped create Hip-Hop.

A verse from the song, Human: “Do you know what it´s like to be sidelined, by someone with less or no mind?” – comes from a time way back - when "I was held for a month against my will in Bellevue Hospital. I staggered there, hoping to get some medication that would dilute the pills a low-life had forced down my throat, while he raped me through the night. And, as if I needed another reason to vomit – after learning I was in New York alone, the doctor told me I´d be sent to Central Islep ( a large mental hospital) in a little-bitty town. Exit stage left. I called my mother, who the doc assumed didn´t care about me – and was immediately released."

In the song Human: “Do you know what it´s like to be abused, left in the gutter cold and used” – could pertain to the New York rape, but it also relates to when "I took off to Los angeles with man I thought cared, only to learn he was a cold-hearted degenerate. I soon met someone else to help me escape, but he was killed during a confrontation with the degenerate. I was arrested and they were asking for the death penalty – because ... the victim was a United States Attorney and the government preferred the public to assume he wasn´t involved with a black woman. Sooooo, because I didn´t call the police, was given 6 years to life."

Like Snoop Dogg said: “That was the case that they gave me.”

The song: No Shame, is about a prostitute. I was raised in the ghetto, where pimps and prostitutes were our role models.

I began the song with a woman speaking in a my-shit-don´t-stink tone – because if her man didn´t buy that house, Mercedes or fur coat, she´d hit the road, too.

Some people have asked me, "Aren´t you embarrassed about your past?" ...
My answer is: "No, I´m telling you how it is, not how you want it to be."
