Music… Some people may call it the “Universal Language” but for 16 year old singing sensation Kelsie, it is so much more.
Kelsie, a native of Alexandria, LA has been singing since she could talk. Having discovered a passion for music early on, Kelsie knew that music was all she wanted to do. She has sung in countless talent shows, fairs & festivals which have helped her develop her incredible stage presence. At age 12, Kelsie was chosen from hundreds of contestants to appear on the T.V. show “It’s Showtime At The Apollo” where she showed that she could really hold her own on a national level. After returning from the Apollo and having tasted that New York air, Kelsie soon grew tired of the karaoke style competitions and longed to have her own voice. She met producer Derrick Martin and they began to work on what would be her debut cd, “Get A Load Of Me”. Derrick insisted that Kelsie participate in the writing so that the songs would truly touch her. Kelsie’s music covers a wide array of teen-aged topics such as peer-pressure, first loves, break-ups & abstinence. Kelsie has recently recut the material from that cd. At 12 she was good but now at 16 her sound has truly matured into that of a bonified hit maker. Just one listen and we know that you will agree Kelsie is definitely ready to take her place on the world stage.
