Details:
Kenny Perez (legal name: Joseph Kennedy B. Perez) is a new artist in the Jazz, Hip Hop / R&B and Techno scene. He makes his debut as a musician, songwriter, arranger, and recording engineer on October of 2002 at the age of 38.

Since the age of 13, Kenny has been a member of various local bands in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kenny''s stage performance experience began at the tender age of 14 as the drummer for a 15-piece High School band. Their debut performance was at the James Denman Jr. High School auditorium for Lapu Lapu day. Kenny and the band also performed at the San Francisco Battle of the Bands held at Dover Hall in 1979. These were High School kids, with Kenny being the youngest of the outfit (Middle School), competing against older and more experienced bands. Bands like the popular and legendary Silk-n-Soul. While the band did not make the top 3 positions at the competition, an announcer and event coordinator made special mention that if there was a fourth place, it clearly would''ve went to Kenny''s band. Not bad for a bunch of kids. After the band dissolved, Kenny toured with the Johnny Rojo Orchestra as a percussionist and backup drummer. Performances consisted of private weddings and other functions for various Philippine Religious and Social associations.

After serving in the military, Kenny returned to San Francisco in 1987, joined a Vallejo based top 40 band as a drummer and played at the Sonoma County festival and at various Corporate functions for companies like AT&T and Pacific Bell. Later, Kenny joined a Daly City based top 40 band as the bass player and played at various nightclubs in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Kenny plays various musical instruments ranging from drums, clarinet, guitar, bass and the piano. Amazingly, Kenny is self-taught on most of the instruments he plays. He learned his first instrument, a five-piece drum set, at the age of five.

During February 5, 2003, Kenny''s self-produced debut CD, consisting of 15 songs, has 7 songs in the top 40 charts at https://www.tradebit.com. 8 songs enjoyed the top 10 spotlight alongside such famous Artists names as Nelly and Babyface. Kenny''s "Fight Song," has dominated the number 1 spot in the Tribal genre from January to February of 2003. Special mention goes to Kenny''s "Reel Down," song featuring the sultry singing of his wife, Alice Perez, which is currently in the no. 5 position in the Jazz Vocals genre beating songs in the running from notable artists, Georgetown and Jenna Mammina.

Born in the Philippines of Spanish / Filipino ancestry, and a native of San Francisco since the age of four, Kenny now lives with his wife and seven children in Daly City, California. Kenny is striving to make a mark in the music entertainment industry as a note worthy songwriter and producer.

The following are what https://www.tradebit.com Artists have said about Kenny''s music.

"First listen, reminded me of how I feel, when I listen to Earl Klugh. Your universal language is very dead on. Like the way only Carlos Santana can make you feel, by just playing." - Ricky Boy, Circle of Friends, Folk and Progressive Rock Band on https://www.tradebit.com

"I''ve been checking out your craft. I like the work that you''ve put down. You have a good ear for blending different elements to create your flavor, like your synths and acoustic piano work on ''Missing you.'' You lay down some provocative tracks that fit easily into my ''kick back in my Blue Room'' mood." - Karl Bullard, R&B / Soul Artist on https://www.tradebit.com

"Yeah I listened to ''Sugar Rush'', definitely electronic, but not techno, more towards hard dance, I do techno, trance, drum and base and down tempo. I like the song, try it out as a hard dance track and see where it goes." - Snaplok, Electronica / Techno Artist on https://www.tradebit.com

"(Missing U) is a nice collage of sounds. The piano riffs on Hip Jazz is pretty cool and the smokey background keys are gorgeous. (Searching) I liked this straight away-the phased keys are lovely and the chord change is sublime..I LOVE that change!...Very evocative and creates a mood I can''t quite put my finger on. (Sugar Rush) is pretty cool...Very intense and trippy...A pumpin'' airy https://www.tradebit.comelligent techno-interesting!" - Steve Ison, Glam/Indie Artist on https://www.tradebit.com
