Fourteen years ago Lange was introduced to guitar and recalls, "we would play in large gymnasiums [at the Talent Contest] and students would vote for the winners. We never won--I guess they didn''t think our group was as talented as we thought we were!". The original crowd response did not deter Lange from his music.
Lange was a Singing Cadet at Texas A&M University and performed for Former President George Bush, sang the National Anthem opening day for the Houston Astros, and sang at St. Paul''s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey in England. During his college years, Lange played many of the local venues and reflects "this is when I was influenced most...listening to guys like Robert Earl Keen, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Stevie Ray Vaughn".
Music continued to be a large part of Lange''s life, he formed his own band, began playing around Central Texas, and released his first album, "Sawdust", in October 2006. In September 2008, Lange married his love, Molly, and they continue to live in Waco, Texas, with their basset hound, Kona. Lange''s second album, "Something Like Water", is set to be released June 12, 2009. Lange believes "things are so much easier for me now it seems. The support I get from Molly enables me to see and feel things differently."
