SHUND began the summer of 2006 in Van Buren, MO. Drummer Heath Grassham and Guitarist Brad Pool had played music in the area for years but did not get together until that summer. Musical roots run deep in the rural community they grew up in, so it was just a matter of time before they crossed paths. The first time Heath and Brad jammed they were very comfortable, and have been playing together ever since. Heath began playing drums seriously at the age of 10 with great influence and support from his father Randy Grassham. He started by playing everything from Patsy Cline to CCR. He progressed into playing alternative and funk music, such as Pearl Jam and The Red Hot Chili Peppers with other local musicians. Brad began playing guitar also at the age of 10, inspired by family members who played country music. Brad would sit in at jam sessions and play by ear to his mother''s cd collection of southern rock and 80''s music. He grew into playing classic and modern rock, such as Van Halen and Nickelback with friends from school. When Brad and Heath began their search for a lead singer they found James Jacoby who had the style and drive they were looking for. James grew up up in Deming,Washington, just a short distance from Seattle, and also grew up around music. He moved to Missouri after his last tour of duty in Irag as a Marine with Brad''s cousin. After visiting the small town of Van Buren, he decided to make it his home. He sang with various local musicians and also did kareoke at the local bar. On bass is Wayne Reneger of Mountain View, Missouri. He has played in several bands over the years and is also the bass player for The Freakshow. His influences are anything from The Beatles, Kiss, to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. SHUND is not just a band, but a close family. They play only because they love to play music, and they avoid anything that would hinder them from putting on a good performance. Their goal is to further extend the musical roots they started from as young musicians. SHUND is very thankful for the support of family, friends, and fans. SHOCK-N-ROLL!!!!!
