Born in New York; Baltimore Raised, Now Dallas Bound Rapper Demitrius "Smokey" Stines has been working/making music since the age of 9. The song that really made Smokey dream to be a rapper was "The Message" by Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five. Ever since that day back in ''99, all he ever talked about was i''m going to be a Hip Hop Artist when I grow up. As time emerged, Smokey got more into the streets; then his music. Smokey''s life was not going as he planned. Being raised under a single parent home made it even harder for Smokey to live. Everybody always knew Smokey to be a really talented freestyler; people can remember him 13 years old freestyling over a beat for 5 minutes straight; And it was hot. But when sent to live with his dad, Smokey gave up on his music dream; and started doing other things. Smokey was sent to live with his mom; who had relocated to Dallas, TX. Moving from Baltimore to Dallas was a big change for Smokey; from the different cultures, slang, accents, attitudes. It was just the other side of the country but for Smokey it was the other side of the world. While, in Dallas Smokey got alot of time to get his head straight. He attended North Texas Job Corps Center and complete the program in 3 months. Smokey said he had a bigger plan for his life; So, after leaving job corps, Smokey goes to his mom and tells her I want to be a Hip Hop Artist. Unlike, most parents, Smokey''s mom was real supportive in his decisions; so she decided to help manage him; and she always told me to keep GOD first in my life and I do that on a daily; Shortly after, they got established Smokey dropped his first hit single called "Im The Man"
