Yo, what’s up everybody? Mr. Microwave here, and I’d like to tell you about the great new music Kitty Wolf cooked up in our kitchen. It swings! It rocks! I even do some rappin’! Six songs in all on a new CD by the coolest mom-and-pop combo on the planet. The CD is called “Pancakes,” and it will have you laughing, dancing, and singing along.
For the record, Kitty Wolf is Scott Hall and Robin Wilson Hall, who own the house where I live. They both played in rock bands back in the day, and now they’re married and have a neat son named Colton. But once a rocker always a rocker, I say, and when I heard Scott making up songs and singing to Colton around the kitchen table, I knew it wouldn’t be long before we were making a record.
So that’s what we did, and everybody in the kitchen got into the act! We’ve got a jazzy little number featuring Miss Ice Maker, who is so nice for making ice, by the way. Mr. Toaster, the star of “Toaster Toaster,” sounds like a skinny-tie-wearing, new-wave dude. We do some roots-rocking on “Daddy’s French Toast,” the toast we love the most. (“It’s always delicious, in your mouth it squishes!”) Of course, the slickest song on the record, in my humble opinion, is “Mr. Microwave,” a fun-and-funky tune that features me on vocals! “I’m cooking it fast, making your leftovers last, last, last.” We kick out the jams on “Cereal,” and get our punk-rock groove on for the song “Pancakes.” We cover all the bases in the Kitty Wolf kitchen!
Listen, I don’t have to set my timer to tell you that these tunes will tickle everyone in your family. Take it from me, Mr. Microwave. You’ll flip for “Pancakes” faster than I can pop a bag of popcorn. Everyone will be rocking around the house in no time!
