Details:
Tim Hus has a voice sweeter than a Husqvarna chainsaw, a wit that is sharper than rusty barbed wire, and a list of songs longer than a Saskatchewan fence line! He recently was signed to Stony Plain Records (Canada''s premier roots record label) joining Corb Lund and the legendary Ian Tyson on the label. The Alberta based singer with the black hat and easygoing personality is a captivating and crowd pleasing performer who easily draws listeners into the settings of his storytelling country and roots music. Tim''s distinctive songwriting and spirited performances by the members of his dynamic band stand as a cornerstone of authentic Canadiana!

Tim Hus’ debut CD, Songs of West Canada features solid country/folk storytelling deeply rooted in the people, places, and themes of Western Canada. Tim’s writing style draws on personal experience growing up in this part of the world, working and living in a commercial fishing and forestry based lifestyle. The themes range from historical events such as the driving of the last spike on the C.P.R. to miners, loggers, salmon fishermen, rodeo cowboys, and British Columbia truck drivers. Combining genuine storytelling, distinctive songwriting, and spirited performances, Songs of West Canada has turned heads as an album of authentic Canadiana. This album was recorded in Hamburg, Germany and has developed somewhat of an underground cult following.
